Kenneth C. “Casey” Stone was born in 1966 in Sacramento, California. In 1969, his family moved to Woodland, where he attended Woodland schools. While at Woodland High School, he was very active in FFA and served as Chapter President.
Casey attended California State University, Chico, where he majored in Business Administration. At Chico State, he was very active in the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, and served as Noble Ruler. While at Chico, Casey worked for a variety of agriculture-related businesses, including chemical research, hybrid sunflower seed production, and kiwi and almond production. Casey also met his future wife, Angela, while attending Chico State.
After graduation in 1991, Casey joined his father Hank and brother Scott in Yolo Land & Cattle Co., the Stone family ranching business. Today, Casey is an active partner in the business, managing the farming operation and office activities. In addition to natural grass-fed & grass-finished beef, Yolo Land & Cattle Co. also raises alfalfa, ryegrass, and Sudan hay for the domestic and export markets.
In 1993, Casey became a director of the Yolo County Farm Bureau, and continues in that capacity today. He also served as YCFB President from 2000 to 2001. Casey had the privilege of representing Yolo, Colusa, and Glenn Counties as a director of the California Farm Bureau Federation from 2006 to 2010, where he also served on the Finance Committee. Casey has also been an active supporter of the Yolo Land Trust, having served on the board for five years, and as President for two years.
In 1994, Casey married his college sweetheart Angela, and they reside in Winters, CA. They enjoy raising their children, Keeley and Wilson, and working together hosting tour groups & events at the ranch and marketing their beef jerky and starthistle honey products.
