Events on the Ranch

Looking for a truly unique
place to have a special outdoor
event? Our ranch headquarters is ideal for corporate retreats, picnics,
family reunions, fundraisers, birthday parties, and rustic weddings. Guests can
enjoy a quiet setting
amongst the western hills of Yolo County, with cows and horses grazing
contentedly in the background. Since this is a working cattle
ranch, guests might have the opportunity to intermingle with our
animals and a wild critter or two (mingling with rattlesnakes is not
recommended!). Due to weather constraints, our typical event
season runs from March through November.
We have two primary locations available for rent:
Headquarters Area
Our headquarters area
features
outdoor seating for over 100 people
under shade trees. With additional tent rentals, we have
hosted as many as 400 at this facility. During
inclement weather, about 30- 40 people can be comfortably seated inside
the shop. We offer two restrooms for moderate sized events, and
additional portable restrooms can be rented for larger
groups. The headquarters floor is concrete, and the outside area is
gravel and decomposed granite. In addition, we have a large
lawn and horse shoe pit for recreation.
We can arrange for full service BBQ catering, with seated or buffet service. If guests would like to choose their own caterer, we provide limited kitchen facilities inside the shop. Our large portable barbecue provides a nice western touch and is also available to rent on site. Parking is plentiful, and we can arrange dust control services for large events.
The “Red Barn”
Built in the early 1900’s, our vintage hay
barn provides a
secluded, rustic setting for larger events such as western fundraisers
and weddings. Surrounded by grand old oak trees, and situated
next to a picturesque seasonal creek, the “Red Barn” harkens back to a
time when life was simpler. The tranquility of this setting
is unmatched in Yolo County. Gone are the sights and sounds
of urban life. The occasional moo of a wandering cow and the
gliding of a hawk overhead are the only commotion our visitors will
experience here.
The barn is currently amenity free, except for running water. We have small generators available for rent, but for larger events, guests may need to rent a diesel generator for lighting or other electrical needs. Guests will also need to rent portable toilets for sanitation.
Parking is virtually
unlimited at this location, due to its
proximity to open fields. We generally construct a smooth
dirt parking lot to match the needs of each event.

Yolo Land and Cattle ranch headquarters is located in Yolo County, CA near to Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area. Tours of the ranch are available by appointment only. We provide detailed driving directions and GPS coordinates for guests coming to attend events on the ranch.
